Cash Acme, the premier manufacturer of plumbing and flow control valves, announced that Building Information Modeling (BIM) content is now available, allowing engineers and architects to specify, design and estimate their design-build projects quickly and accurately.

Developed in partnership with Thomas Enterprise Solutions, a comprehensive database of 2D drawings, 3D CAD and BIM models, along with technical data on products can be easily accessed through an online catalog on the Cash Acme website. The models are available in multiple file formats to support the needs of different users involved in almost any type of build project, including Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing (MEP) engineers, designers, and contractors. The online catalog’s simple user interface allows projects to be quickly and accurately designed and estimated.

“BIM software is a win-win for the plumbing trade,” said Jeff Davis, VP of Wholesale Sales. “It allows us to create, manage and publish product information in a variety of accessible formats. This makes it simpler for contractors, fabricators and engineers to specify Cash Acme valves in their designs and drawings, as well as site maintenance plans.”

Thirty-two file formats, including Autodesk Revit and Autodesk CADmep, are currently supported on the site for over 100 SKUs. The software automatically creates the drawing or model with the most current product information, helping to ensure that building professionals are always receiving the most accurate and current data available for improved confidence during the specification process.

According to a recently released report from MarketsandMarkets, the global BIM market is projected to grow from $3.56 billion in 2017 to $7.64 billion by 2022, with the U.S. expected to hold the largest market share. Factors influencing the strong U.S. growth trend include a rise in new construction and increased awareness about the benefits of BIM among building professionals and contractors.
